QAC Holiday Social Event

Date: Wednesday, December 14th starting at 6:30 pm
Location: 4700 de Maisonneuve West, Westmount, Montreal (Vendome metro)

Join us for a QAC branch Christmas "wine and cheese" evening. Wine, beer and soft drinks will be supplied. All you have to do is bring something to eat. We are going "pot-luck" so it could be cheese, bread, chips and dip, cold meat, a salad, dessert;we are only limited by your imagination.

This will be a great opportunity to network with your fellow editors and translators and to get into the Christmas spirit. We look forward to welcoming you on the 14th!

QAC 5 à 7 Networking Event

Date: Wednesday, October 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Location: Bar-lounge of the Maritime Plaza Hotel, 1155 Guy Street, Montreal

This is a chance to socialize and network with fellow editors and language professionals. Bring a co-worker, friend, or aspiring EAC member!

Special Guest: Frances Peck

Frances Peck is a Vancouver-based editor, writer and instructor who has taught editing and writing for over 20 years. She prepared the Canadian edition of The St. Martin's Workbook, a university-level grammar exercise book; recently completed Peck's English Pointers, an e-book for the Translation Bureau (Termium); and is a regular columnist for the periodical Language Update. A member of West Coast Editorial Associates, Frances is also an instructor with the Print Futures program (Douglas College) and the Writing and Publishing program (Simon Fraser University).

 

QAC Social Event: Meet the Executive

Location: Hurley's Irish Pub, 1225 Crescent Street, Montreal

This is your opportunity to share your thoughts with the QAC Executive.  We'd like to hear your ideas, comments and experiences.  We'll even listen to constructive criticism although personal comments will be discouraged!

We have a private room reserved for us at Hurley's Irish Pub from 6.30 pm. until closing where you'll be able to enjoy good food, excellent refreshments and scintillating company.  New members or old, it's a networking event not to be missed!
