Registration Information | Registration Form | Seminar Locations | Seminar for Editors
This seminar will introduce editors to the role of the developmental editor (DE) in creating educational resources for the school (K–12) market. We will examine the structure and content of educational products and take a look at how they are developed. Participants will learn about the many responsibilities of the DE as part of the content-development team in organizing content; working with authors, reviewers, consultants, designers, and publishers; understanding and supporting the needs of teachers and students; and meeting curriculum requirements.

A past-chair of EAC's Toronto branch, she has extensive experience developing educational materials for Kindergarten through college, in subjects including literacy, health and physical education, science, and language arts. Sara Goodchild has more than a decade of experience in K-12 educational publishing as a developmental editor, writer, and project manager. She has worked in-house at McGraw-Hill Ryerson and for major publishers all across North America through a full-service development house.
