Registration Information | Registration Form | Seminar Locations | Seminar for Editors

Whether you are thinking about becoming a freelance editor in the future or have already taken the plunge, this seminar will provide you with a wealth of practical information. The approach is down-to-earth and realistic; the facts and tips are all based on the real-life experiences of the seminar leader and others.

Topics covered include evaluating and improving your editing skills; acquiring the tools you need; getting work, including finding those all-important first jobs and translating them into a regular client base; networking both graciously and successfully; creating a freelance résumé that works; being your own manager; and getting paid.

Instructor: Elizabeth d'Anjou has 17 years' experience as a freelance editor with a diverse clientèle, from textbook publishers to corporations to non-profit agencies. She teaches copy editing at Ryerson University.
