Registration Information | Registration Form | Seminar Locations | Seminar for Editors

So, you’ve taken the plunge---you’re a freelance editor. You’re staying afloat, but the waters are not as smooth as you might like. In this new seminar, developed in response to popular demand, Elizabeth will share valuable information from her own experience and that of some wise colleagues on making your editing business more successful and enjoyable. Topics include client relations, setting rates, dealing with taxes, expanding into new areas, managing workflow, estimating, recovering from mistakes, balancing work and life---and loving what you do. Whether you’ve been a freelancer for six months or sixteen years, if you could use some advice from a successful veteran who still loves her job after 18 years (and, really, who couldn’t?), this seminar is for you.

Instructor: Elizabeth d’Anjou  has 18 years of experience as a freelance editor with a diverse clientèle, from trade and educational publishers to government departments to non-profit agencies. In demand as a seminar leader across the country, she is also an instructor in Ryerson University’s Publishing Certificate program. She loves her work and she hasn’t starved yet.
