Beginning editors invest time and energy in applying for work, yet many of the resumés they send don’t demonstrate the basic skills required for the job. Whether you are applying for in-house or freelance work, this seminar will help you avoid some all-too-common pitfalls of quality, content, and presentation. You will learn what to include and what to leave out. The class will also examine fictitious samples of poor, acceptable, and very good resumés.

Avivah Wargon has more than 30 years’ experience as an editor, including 14 years as a supervising editor at Pearson Canada, where she recruited freelance editors for university and college textbooks. She has recently returned to freelance editing.
