Greetings from the EAC Hamilton-Halton Twig (HH Twig)
The Hamilton-Halton Twig of the Editors’ Association of Canada (EAC) was established in the fall of 2011. We draw members from a wide geographical area that includes the Halton area (Milton, Georgetown, Oakville, Burlington) and all the municipalities that form the amalgamated City of Hamilton (Ancaster, Dundas, Binbrook, Waterdown and the Flamborough area, and Stoney Creek).
What We Do.
The HH Twig offers its members opportunities to increase their editing knowledge and skills, grow their businesses, and network. We hold monthly meetings with speakers on topics of interest to editors on the second Thursday of the month, starting at 7:30 p.m., in October and November and January to April inclusive; our AGM takes place in May.
We also host monthly Koffee Klatches – providing members with an opportunity to connect over the lunchtime, for chat and mutual support. These noon-hour get-togethers are held at various diners, pubs, and family-style restaurants throughout the Hamilton-Halton region. Koffee Klatches are on different days of the week during the first week of the month, every month of the year.
The HH Twig is not all work and no play! A September “End of Summer” BBQ and a December Holiday Social have already become much-anticipated traditional events for our members and their guests.
You will find us to be a friendly and welcoming group who would be very pleased to have you join us!
Where We Meet.
Monthly meetings are held in the boardroom of Community Development Halton, 860 Harrington Court, Room 209, off Harvester Road just south of the QEW, between Guelph Line and Walkers Line.
