EAC, MSN and Hotmail email advisory lifted

UPDATE: EAC, MSN and Hotmail email advisory lifted

EAC's IT team reports that the error described below is a result of Sympatico and MSN (which includes Hotmail, Live.com and Outlook.com) blacklisting editors.ca email. As a result of the blacklisting, servers at Sympatico, MSN and EAC have been rejecting emails between these domains.

The team has found a workaround solution so emails between these domains should be okay now. The team is continuing to work with the various hosting companies to find a better, long-term solution.

We apologize for the inconvenience

Email service advisory: Emails between Sympatico/MSN and editors.ca being rejected

The national office has been alerted to the fact that emails sent from Sympatico and MSN (including Hotmail, Live.com and Outlook.com) to editors.ca addresses, and vice versa, are failing to arrive. The servers appear to be mutually rejecting email.

EAC's IT team is in contact with Sympatico and MSN and is investigating. We will update this message when the problem has been resolved.

In the meantime, if you are sending email between editors.ca and Sympatico, MSN, Hotmail, Live.com or Outlook.com addresses, please find another means of contact. This includes email contact with EAC's national office. The national office and some EAC branches can also be reached by telephone. Visit our Contact us page.
