Editing Goes Global conference schedule announced

From June 12 to 14, the Editors' Association of Canada (EAC), in partnership with the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC), will host the first international conference of editors. Editing Goes Global takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. We invite you to join the global editing and writing community as we hear speakers from the US, the UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada, and connect with communication professionals from around the world.

Drum Roll, Please: Core Schedule Revealed

EAC and PWAC are pleased to announce the core schedule for Editing Goes Global, June 12 to 14 in Toronto. Please join us for an unparalleled weekend of networking, learning and fun!

The first-ever international editing conference features three full days of entertaining and educational sessions on topics ranging from business practices to self-publishing to editing around the world. The stream on running an association will be finalized and announced soon, so watch for schedule updates. Up to three additional streams will be added to the conference program if we get enough registrants.

EAC Awards Banquet

Saturday, June 13

Cost: $85 + HST
7 p.m.: Pre-dinner reception, cash bar
7:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.: Dinner and EAC awards presentation

Join us at our annual banquet to celebrate our award winners and enjoy a fun evening with editing colleagues from around the world. Though it's not a formal event, attendees are welcome to dress up.

Dinner will be buffet-style with a variety of options available. The more people who attend, the more food choices we will be able to offer, so please register early.

The awards presentation will honour the winner of EAC's Tom Fairley Award for Editorial Excellence and the Claudette Upton Scholarship recipient. We will also be presenting the annual Oops Awards – watch out for the call for submissions, coming soon!
