Get certified! Registration closes next week

Have you registered for Editors' Association of Canada (Editors Canada) certification yet? There are only 10 days left to sign up for this year's exams (you won't be able to write these tests again until 2017).

Date: Saturday, November 14
Exams: Copy editing and stylistic editing (proofreading and structural editing will be offered in 2016)
Locations: Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax

Do you want official recognition of your editorial acumen, along with a powerful marketing advantage?

"Certification earned me extra points when bidding on a federal government standing offer for English editing services," says Marion Soublière, certified copy editor and certified proofreader. "Believe me, every point counts! I eventually won the standing offer."

Make this the year you join the growing roster of certified editors. Register for the 2015 Editors Canada certification exams today.

Exam tip: To save time, know your reference materials

You're allowed to bring some reference materials with you when you write the test. To save time, set up your reference guides for quick use. Put sticky notes on sections and topics you need to look up regularly. You'll be glad you did.
