Build your network! Come out of isolation! Networking events give you an opportunity to network and socialize with fellow editors, proofreaders, translators, and other language professionals. Whether you are a new or a potential EC member, you will meet the Quebec/Atlantic Canada branch executive and learn more about us. Occasionally, invited editors or professionals in related fields will be on hand to share their experience, knowledge, tricks and tips in an informal atmosphere.
When and Where
The date, time and place of each meeting, as well as other pertinent information are provided in the announcement of each activity.
Meetings are most often held in Montreal. If you would like to organize a meeting in your region, let us know, so that we can share your invitation with all our members and partners, and publicize it on our Website.
Editors Canada members: free
Non-members $10 or $15 (depending on the event)
Unless otherwise indicated, all meal or refreshment costs are covered individually.
If you would like to share your experience and knowledge or enhance your speaking portfolio, let us know.
Or if you have suggestions for discussion/presentation topics or knowledgeable presenters, please share your ideas with us.

JUNE NETWORKING EVENT: “Entre Nous” Cocktail
Long-time members, come to our “Entre Nous” Cocktail to welcome those who have joined this year. This is a unique opportunity to create links among our members and student affiliates, both new and old. Your representatives on the Executive Committee will be there to answer your questions. The Annual General Meeting will follow at 7:30 pm.

MARCH NETWORKING EVENT: Meet your National Executive Council!
Your national executive council will be meeting in Montreal on March 18 and 19 and would love to see you! Francophone (and bilingual) members: please join us SATURDAY, MARCH 18 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Best Western Ville-Marie to talk about what you want and need from Editors Canada.
We are also invite you to two social events:

Choosing Your Dictionary… Understanding What’s Available
Note: The presentation will be conducted in French only

Editors Quebec/Atlantic Canada invites members and non-members alike to an evening get-together for a talk entitled Choosing Your Dictionary… Understanding What’s Available. Le Robert pedagogical advisor Michelle Simard will describe the various ranges of dictionaries and their main characteristics. She will discuss both French and bilingual publications to help you choose those that adequately meet your needs and those of your clients. The presentation will also discuss the available cross-media and digital Robert offerings and their advanced research functions. Join us for a chance to win a door prize.
