The early bird catches two jam-packed days of professional development at significant savings! Register now for Conference 2014
Well, it took us a while to figure out how to pack all of the fabulous sessions and speakers for Conference 2014 into just two days, but we've finally done it. The schedule is now online. Exact times have yet to be finalized, but the conference days will generally run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Don't worry, there'll be plenty of breaks for caffeinating and socializing in between sessions.
Download the schedule now to start planning your conference experience and for details on the following just-announced sessions and developments.
The conference team is very excited to offer both French and bilingual sessions. Bilingual sessions allow francophone and anglophone editors to attend the same session and network with a wider array of colleagues. You don't need to be fluently bilingual to attend these sessions—just have a basic oral understanding of both languages and an open mind.
Editors of experience
More sessions have been added for senior editors. These sessions are clearly identified and have been designed for mid- and late-career editors who have extensive experience in or knowledge of the topic. Many are roundtables and panel discussions designed to let all participants contribute in an effort to create a deeper understanding of the topic.
A room with a hue
While conference sessions are still organized into streams (see speakers and sessions), this year's schedule is organized by room for ease of navigation. Themes will be identified by colour in the final schedule-at-a-glance.
Members of EAC, the Indexing Society of Canada, the Professional Writers Association of Canada, and the Association of Registered Graphic Designers, as well as MagNet's 2014 conference attendees, can save $80 off the regular conference fee by registering by the Friday, April 11 early-bird deadline. Don't delay. Register now!
