The association is transitioning to the Editors Canada brand this year. As of July 1, 2015, we will begin using the Editors Canada style name in all new national communications.
The legal name of the association will not change. It remains Editors' Association of Canada/Association canadienne des réviseurs. The shorter version, Editors Canada, is an essential part of our strategy to build awareness of the association and our leadership in editing in Canada.
We have a lot to be proud of. We're the only national association focused solely on editors and the editing profession. We literally set the standards for professional editing in Canada and continue to show our commitment to editing excellence through our national awards, publications and certification programs. We are the hub for editors in Canada, linking a community of 1,500 members and affiliates nationwide.
Over the coming months the rebranding rollout task force will introduce our new brand look and messaging about editors and the editing profession in our national and regional literature, e-blasts and social media presence. This steady transition will culminate in the launch of a new website later this year.
