EAC's certification program is for editors of written material who work in English. Successful candidates can become Certified Professional Editors or earn certification in proofreading, copy editing and/or structural and stylistic editing. For more information, read Requirements and The Tests.

The program is open to EAC members and non-members. Members pay lower test fees. Join us.

2011 Tests

EAC's 2011 certification tests will be written on Saturday, November 19, 2011.

Two tests will be offered in 2011:

• Copy Editing
• Stylistic Editing

The Proofreading test and the Structural Editing test will be offered in 2012.

Test Locations

The following test locations are planned, demand and resources permitting: Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.
