During my ten years as an editor, I have worked with publishers, governments, academics, professional associations, advertising agencies, and individuals. I have copy edited and proofread a range of materials, including textbooks, journal articles, reports, newsletters, resumes, a volume of poetry, and a PhD thesis. I have secured literary permissions and done picture research for university and high school textbooks. I have co-authored scientific articles on rheumatology and written profiles for an occupational therapy journal. I have evaluated fiction manuscripts. One of my special strengths is patience in dealing with authors, which comes from my experience as a published short story author whose own work has been edited.

My educational background includes two MAs (English literature, creative writing) and an ESL teaching certificate (CELTA). I am currently completing my Publishing certificate at Ryerson University, where I maintain an A average and won a 2011 Marsh Jeanneret Memorial Award.
