Although my editorial credits include numerous reference works and gigabytes of memoirs, poetry, and fiction, I’m proudest of working with clients for whom English was not their first language. My special expertise is in editing dictionaries and writing definitions, and I have been involved in several major dictionary and thesaurus projects in Canada, the United States, and Great Britain. I've been an editor, columnist, and reporter for newspapers and magazines. Between and among these activities, I've published 16 books (nine poetry, four nonfiction, one fiction), and  have contributed extensively to anthologies and periodicals, including many book reviews for The Globe and Mail.
