Susan Fitzgerald

Profile

I have over 25 years of experience as a writer, editor, and researcher. I regularly work with a wide range of clients, including first-time writers, students, researchers, businesses, nonprofit organizations, fiction authors, children’s authors, and authors of nonfiction trade books. My own writing has been published in academic journals and books, community magazines, and children’s magazines.

My education includes a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree in linguistics and a master’s degree in library and information science. I have a copy editing certificate from the University of California, Berkeley, and I have taken professional development courses in editing and writing through the Editors’ Association of Canada and Vancouver Community College.

My goal as an editor is to help writers get their messages across clearly and correctly while maintaining their own voice.
