Unusual among editors in having both a BSc and BA (Carleton College, Minnesota; University of Alberta), plus a double-life as a fiction writer. Beginning as a freelance journalist and editor-in-chief of an arts magazine, I became a full-time writer/editor in 1992 (key clients include Province of and University of Alberta).
