Vicki Low

Profile

I am an experienced copy editor and indexer of scholarly books, especially in Asian studies, literary studies, and the social sciences. I work on a freelance basis with academic presses and with individual academics who are preparing their manuscripts for publication. While indexing, I cannot help but provide proofreading services--at no extra charge!

Recent projects include a collection of 32 essays about the state of Singapore and a book examining asymmetrical political arrangements in China, France, and Spain.

I was the editor of a series of graphic novels for young readers at Rubicon Publishing from 2005 to 2007. I proofread texts in Old English and Latin for the Dictionary of Old English project at the University of Toronto while working on my doctorate.

Languages: Mandarin Chinese, Latin, Old and Middle English; some French and German.

Degrees: Ph.D. in medieval studies, University of Toronto; BA (Hons) in English, Somerville College, Oxford University.
