I am a versatile editor with more than 30 years of experience editing and writing. I spent 26 years working in newspapers, over the course of which I was a copy editor, foreign desk editor, national desk editor, news editor, page designer and assignment editor for a major Canadian daily.

I believe that a good editor should also have a writing background. My experience includes time as a rewrite editor, travel writer, court reporter and as an award-winning feature writer.

My fields of expertise include general interest stories, history (in particular Canadian and military history), law and the courts, biography, politics and foreign policy issues.

I have edited books; academic papers, compiled, written and edited several successful grant applications; written speeches, created newsletters and pamphlets; and handled publicity and fundraising campaigns.
