Tiffany Regaudie

Profile

I'm a versatile editor with five years of experience in the trade and scholarly publishing industries. I'm interested in language as both an art and a science, and I'm dedicated to maintaining the integrity of an author's style while ensuring polished text. I'm passionate about Canadian literature, and I've edited fiction, memoir, short story collections, and literary criticism. Since I'm relatively new to freelance editorial work, my services come at a very reasonable cost.

In 2007 I received a Bachelor of Communications in Professional Writing from MacEwan University with a concentration in editing. As this program was writing intensive, I also gained ample written communication skills through courses such as distilled prose, rhetoric, project management, and business communications, all of which have proven useful for editorial work. I have subsequently participated in professional development courses relevant to editing, including the Book Editing Immersion Workshop at Simon Fraser University. I am also a native French speaker and have strong editorial skills in this area.

Before graduating from MacEwan, I secured the position of Production Editor with NeWest Press, and I became the company’s first in-house copyeditor. After maintaining my position with NeWest for approximately three years, I transferred my skills to scholarly publishing with Athabasca University Press to gain experience within another arm of the industry. In April 2011, I joined the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada as Managing Editor for national and provincial publications.

I enjoy working with publishers, authors, and various types of media and communications firms. Above all, I'm passionate about language and books, and you will find me to be meticulous, personable, and dedicated.
