A flexible and intuitive writer, editor, and teacher, I have worked with an array of clients ranging from governmental agencies, educational institutions, and non-governmental organizations to large and small businesses, cultural groups, and individuals who have trusted me with their doctoral dissertations and memoirs. I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in English from McGill, and have taught ESL, grammar, composition, and literature in both college and private contexts. As well, I have trained as a copy-editor with Ryerson University's publishing programme, and have worked in copy-, stylistic, and structural editing. I have come to specialize in editing documents translated into English from French, a strength often in demand in Montréal. Above all, however, I am a writer, specializing in speeches, correspondence, brochures, and newsletter copy. In addition to my professional writing, my fiction, creative non-fiction, and poems have been published in various large and small venues across North America. Hired privately or contracted through a communications company, I have written and edited documents for a broad range of clients, including: Québec Premier Jean Charest; Clément Gignac, Québec Minister for Economic Development, Innovation, and Export Trade; McGill University Principal and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Heather Munroe-Blum; McGill University Chancellor Richard W. Pound; Dr. David R. Colman, Director of the Montreal Neurological Institute; Robert Rabinovitch, Chair of McGill University's Board of Governors, and former President and CEO of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation; The International Civil Aviation Organization; Bombardier; The Canada Media Fund; Héma-Québec; The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec; Acti-Menu; The Yves Légaré Funeral group; and Tormont Publications. |
