Profile

My education and experience as a librarian led me to a new career in the editing world several years ago. I am detail-oriented and  well-organized. I am comfortable doing proofreading, research, or copy editing in French or English and have done extensive permissions work for both print and visual material. Recently I translated a small book on the rock group "Tokio Hotel" from French to English (Tokio Hotel Fever) and copy edited a university-level French translation textbook. I have worked with various media including museum text and catalogues, court reports, online information, and many types of illustrative material, as well as books, personal memoirs and vanity press publications. I review various forms of publications: novels, books of poetry, memoirs... at http://bookdiscovery-jeanne.blogspot.com.
