Sue MacLeod

Profile

Clarity, grace and integrity—that's what all prose needs, and I'll make sure yours has it. Then I'll proofread it until every hair's in place. I'm a former magazine journalist with more than 20 years experience writing, editing and proofing. A few recent clients: The Change Foundation, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, and Ontario's Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

I've written plain language materials, taught writing at the university level, copy edited a newsmagazine, written annual reports for health organizations and grad schools—and write fiction and poetry as well. As inaugural Poet Laureate for Halifax, my home for several years, I edited an anthology that was shortlisted for the N.S. Lieutenant Governor's Masterworks Arts Award.

I bring a high quality of attention and dedication to every task at hand, and have spent a lifetime chasing deadlines—and meeting them.
