Bring vibrancy to your writing. I help my clients make their novel, story, or children's book manuscripts publication-ready with a full range of editing services. As an editor, I want to help you realize your narrative goals. To do this, I'm willing to play a variety of roles: coach, collaborator, or critic. I will bring my sharp eye to bear on your work, and it will emerge nuanced, with any flabby writing or underdeveloped plot stripped away. I consider myself a contractor to your project. I take direction from you and I respect your wishes concerning your written material. That's not to say I won't make suggestions or point out errors, but I will do so with courtesy and respect, and will always strive to preserve your own individual style. I have an editing certificate from Simon Fraser University, and I hold a BA in English with a background in both biology and kinesiology. I also have a TESL certificate from Oxford Seminars, as well as nearly a decade of experience writing and editing in an academic setting. I currently copy-edit for the West Coast Editor, the publication of the BC branch of the Editors' Association of Canada.
