I am an experienced copy editor, fact checker, and proofreader. I have managed the production of and copy edited research reports and articles for 10-plus years. All research was specific to residential school history in Canada and its impacts on Aboriginal peoples (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit). I have copy edited and managed over 40 of these publications for a not-for-profit national Aboriginal organization. I have been involved at all stages of the publication process, from the author’s final draft to the finished product.

I value accurate information in a clear, attractive package. From past experience, I learned that original sourcing for data and quotations is vital to any research, as one cannot rely on second-hand sourcing for accurate information.
