Chris Lendrum

Profile

BA (Hons) and MA in English from Simon Fraser University; PhD in English from the University of Ottawa. Freelance Writer and Editor for 3 years, with clients such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Legionnaire Games, and the Canadian Toy Testing Council. 7 years experience teaching grammar, writing, and literature at the post-secondary level.

I am happy to work in any genre or style, but my speciality is in substantive and stylistic editing for complex, abstract, or technical subjects. I ensure that the tone, content, and presentation of your document are effective and appropriate for the desired audience. It can be as simple or as complex as you like.

I also have experience with longer, research-oriented projects. I can work with the organization and development of your report, or check references and format.

Finally, artists are welcome! I am more than happy to apply my training as a literary scholar to your manuscript in order to provide feedback on important things such as characterization, narrative technique, or plot development. I won't guarantee that your manuscript will be purchased, but I can provide an initial consultation about your work to help you improve upon your work.
