Laura Peetoom

Profile

After training with a major Canadian children's publisher, I moved to a freelance career in children's and young adult trade and educational materials. I have also edited government and organizational publications, both print and on-line, with a special focus on plain (and engaging) language. Recently, I finished a stint with a major Canadian educational publisher, developing cross-curricular literacy materials for Kindergarten to Grade 9, in a variety of media, including magazines and a multimedia website. I write with a strong voice and lively language, and edit with a listening ear. Clients value my fast turnaround, good humour, and discernment.
