Lori Anderson

Profile

As an experienced, versatile editor, I can apply superb editing skills to documents ranging from scientific journal articles or research reports to public school resources to music CD liner notes. My subject area expertise is grounded in public health, and my passions draw me to complementary medicine and issues of social justice and social policy. More than a decade of in-house experience at Health Canada included six years as editor-in-chief of a peer-reviewed journal about the epidemiology of chronic diseases and injuries. Freelancing for over five years now, I have helped clients in federal and municipal governments, non-profit organizations, health professional associations, consulting firms, research institutes, choirs and a community health centre. I enjoy using plain language principles to effectively communicate clients’ ideas to their intended audiences.
