Wanted: A 600–1,200-word article about the role that social media tools such as Facebook, My Space, Twitter, and LinkedIn play in the daily lives of successful freelance and in-house editors. Do they rely on these tools to connect to the latest editing, publishing, and / or particular subject-matter trends? Do they use these tools to help maintain relations with their existing industry networks, or do they use these tools to break into new networks? Do they maintain regular blogs or vlogs? Finally, how much time (if any) do they spend maintaining their presence on social media? Or do they find it a waste of time and effort?

The article may be published in the Winter 2011 issue of Active Voice / Voix active and / or on AV / VA Online. Contact active_voice@editors.ca if you are interested in contributing to, researching, and / or writing this article.
