Professional publications often contain more than text, but how do you edit a diagram? You consider yourself a “word person,” but part of the job of an editor involves handling figures and tables. Whether you’re editing a scientific paper or a coffee table book, you can find yourself having to manage non-text material. This course shows you the following vital skills: how to make editorial assessments of illustrative material; how to edit, document, and manage tables, figures, maps, photographs, and art; how to integrate text and visual material; and how to work with designers.
