Profile

There's something about being able to edit a work, about being able to help its author ensure that the product that hits the market is the best it can possibly be, that I've always loved.  As an avid reader and a stickler when it comes to spelling and grammar, I'm always on the lookout for errors.

Knowing I can help a manuscript make it through the last steps towards being published is part of the reason I decided to become an editor in the first place.

Being able to assist with making the final published product as perfect as humanly possible is, to me, the ultimate form of appreciation of literature, and I have always enjoyed both reading and writing with a passion.

EDUCATION: Associates of Arts Degree, English Concentration (Capilano University); Bachelor of Arts Degree, English Major/Publishing Minor (Simon Fraser University); Masters of Publishing Degree (Simon Fraser University).

EXPERIENCE: I have worked with small publishing companies since 2007 and have also had private clients, fulfilling the duties of proofreader, copyeditor, developmental editor, substantive editor, and stylistic editor. Information on my past projects can be found on my website.
