Congratulations! You’ve found an editor who has an eye for editing, a love of the red pen, and a desire to collaborate.

Hi. I’m Amy Lewis, owner and freelance editor of Eye for Editing.

Although new to the editing industry, my non-editing background of 25 years was the foundation of my passion for the red pen. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Studies Planning and Development (Honours), almost 20 years of administrative experience, and my Editing Certificate through Simon Fraser University’s Continuing Education. In 2019, I opened my business which I operate in my spare time as I have a fulltime job with a local engineering firm. My editing goals are set high as achieving professional certification through Editors’ Association of Canada is next in line.

Ensuring your project achieves its purpose is my objective. I offer structural editing, stylistic editing, copy editing, and proofreading for business-related material such as brochures, trail maps, policies, presentations, reports, instructional material, and weekly communications.

My eye for editing is superior to a computer and worth your investment because your audience expects the best from you. I contribute beyond the page in a way that makes a difference to your business, so let’s talk about how I can be your editorial support.
