Angie Leddy, B.A.

Sherwood Park, AB

As a child, all I wanted to do was read and write. Once I grew up, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in language and communication, and subsequently graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and English. Soon after, I landed a job as a corporate skirt, and dreams gave way for the every day realities of adulthood.

Nearly a decade later, I know that my heart truly lies in editing, so, here I am. I have a strong academic foundation, a variety of professional experiences, and a deep-down, can't-ignore-it urge to make black and white text into something more.

I have academic, professional, and personal experience in copy editing, proofreading, self-publishing, and stylistic and structural editing, in topics ranging from literature, social work, business administration, health insurance, public education, and human resources. I have a natural skill in communication and connecting with people is a particular strength.

This dynamic range of experiences has prepared me to take on any topic in any medium, whether it's a collective agreement, user's manual, short story, essay, or advertisement.
