Ann-Marie Metten has nearly 35 years of experience editing trade books, academic and technical texts, and magazines. In 2009 she gained certification as a professional editor, and in 2010 she completed a master of publishing degree at Simon Fraser University. In August 2017, she left her role as managing editor at Talonbooks to return to freelance editing. She volunteers as executive director at Historic Joy Kogawa House and runs the writer-in-residence program set in the childhood home of the author Joy Kogawa.
