Published, award-winning author with a passion for helping people to get their ideas across. I'm a Vancouver-based academic and non-fiction editor, writer, indexer and researcher. I'll help you find the right words and the right information.

I hold a PhD in history from the University of Victoria, Canada. I have written, edited, and indexed work in the humanities, social sciences and business disciplines and for organizations, businesses, and private individuals. My specialty areas are history and gender studies. I am also a qualified adult literacy teacher.

I am the author of two books and numerous academic articles. One of my articles was awarded the 2003 Canadian Committee on Women’s History Hilda Neatby Prize for Best Article in Canadian Women’s History (English-language) and the 2004 Canadian Committee on the History of Sexuality award for Best Article in the History of Sexuality in Canada. My book Awfully Devoted Women (UBC Press) was selected for the 2011 Over the Rainbow Books list and the 2011-2012 BC Books for BC Schools list.
