Experienced and highly qualified St. John’s editor also offering translation and interpreting (French to English). Works edited include reports of inquiries and review committees, academic articles, dissertations, novels, and other documents (cookbooks, e-learning, promotional materials, CD liner notes…) in a variety of disciplines (such as business, community health, education, engineering, English, epidemiology, math, human kinetics and recreation). PhD (English) from UBC, MA (English) from McMaster, 12 years teaching French and English courses at Memorial University. I’ve edited significant, multi-volume works such as the reports of the Offshore Helicopter Safety Inquiry and the Cameron Inquiry into hormone receptor testing. And I’ve tidied up short stories a couple of pages long. I love grammar and conciseness; I love taking sentences and untwisting them, making them shorter, clearer, and more engaging.
