I work closely with emerging and self-published authors to help them achieve their writing and publication goals. I offer compassionate and critical evaluation that includes not only polishing language, but also digging deep to help authors realize their potential. I ensure a cohesive and approachable final product, all while retaining the author’s voice and style. My goal is to bring out the best in the manuscript.
I work on projects in a variety of genres. As a former Editorial Intern at Tundra Books, I am especially interested in editing picture books, middle grade, and young adult manuscripts. I also work on non-fiction projects, specializing in popular music and the music industry. I help students and professionals with academic papers, grant applications, and resumés and cover letters. Whatever the project, I will make certain the writing is clear and concise.
I am a graduate of Ryerson University’s Publishing Certificate. My educational background includes a certificate in Web Writing and Social Media Communications and a BA in Popular Music Studies. My skills include copy editing, developmental editing, stylistic editing, and proofreading. I am also well-versed in SEO, effective copywriting, and how to write engaging web content.
Please contact me to discuss your project.
