I have 20 years of editing experience: academic projects of all kinds, substantive and copy editing of websites, novels, business proposals/reports, and Internet applications. Clients receive free introductory consultations and sample edits as well as guaranteed estimates. Whether your material needs a complete stylistic overhaul and reorganization or a simpler copy edit, your presentation can convey your meaning clearly so you can say what you mean, and get what you want.

Though academic work is the mainstay of my business, I also work as a free-lance, contract editor on a wide range of projects -- from websites to business proposals to novels, and much in-between. This scope equals proficiency in almost any type of editing you need help with. I can take your materials from a rough draft stage, through substantive and then copy editing, and then help you negotiate the printing/posting process, or any part thereof. Whether your project is an academic article/thesis/grant or research proposal, or a novel or website, the years I managed academic journals combined with freelance business editing, a BA with Honours, an MA, and numerous editing courses contribute to a demonstrated ability to help clients make the most positive impression possible, whatever their venture may be...

Some representative testimonials:

“Thanks for once again smoothing out our work and making it sound impressive!”

“We were very pleased with the finished product and think you did an excellent job…it was a huge help to us."

Feedback like this is a large part of why I love my job, and clients from India, the UK, the US, and across Canada will attest to my organizational skills, cost-effectiveness, and keen eye for detail. Give me the work of organizing and presenting your material so you can move on to the next project and do what you do best (and if you are like most people, that's probably not editing your own writing --  even editors rarely do that), and free up your time to concentrate on your core competency.

My website <> offers more specific information, and I am available anytime to talk with you about how best to polish and complete your communications project.
