EAC-certified for excellence, I bring experience, efficiency, and enthusiasm to writing and editing projects. My specialities are fiction, clear language, and plain language. For over 30 years, I have worked (virtually) around the world for companies, individuals, and organizations, including many trade and educational Canadian publishers (Pearson, Oxford University Press, Rubicon, Nelson, McGraw-Hill, Annick Press, Scholastic, UBC's Pacific Educational Press, etc.).

Since 2015, I have been working in the southern office for an Arctic publisher with fiction and non-fiction, for adults and children. I'm available for freelance work on manuscript evaluations, writing, editing, and consulting.

Recent subjects have ranged from Arctic ecology, Inuit stories and perspectives, Inuktitut language, teaching with online videos, education, Indigenous peoples in Canada, social justice, and US politics to (in fiction) murder, family secrets, heroic battles, pirates, aliens, and DIY technology.
