My name is Lauren. I am a food and beverage industry professional and a freelance copyeditor with training in both copyediting and editing recipes/cookbooks.

I began my career in 2007 and have since worked across the food and beverage industry. I have been a cook, a pastry cook, a server, a dishwasher, a restaurant manager, and a general manager, along with holding corporate roles. It’s safe to say that I have been living and breathing food and beverage for almost 15 years.

This industry, and the people who work in and adjacent to it, is my passion. There is no other industry that holds as much power to bring people together. From executive chefs to dishwashers, from professional bloggers to home cooks, food and drink unites us all.
