- has either written or co-written numerous publications, including several articles that were published in peer-reviewed, scientific journals

- was employed for nearly four decades in various facets of the health and health care sector, including five years as a physiotherapist and almost 21 years at Health Canada as an epidemiologist, senior policy advisor, and editor

- was the Associate Editor of Health Canada's Health Policy Research Bulletin, a corporate publication showcasing high-calibre policy research and analysis concerning significant issues on the national health agenda

- is a member of the Editors' Association of Canada (EAC) and the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA)

- was a member of the executive of the EAC-National Capital Region (NCR) branch for three years (past editor of EAC–NCR’s newsletter and past seminars co-chair)

- enhances editing credentials through university-based courses, professional development, and self-study

- nominated in 2010 for the “Rosemary Shipton Award for Excellence in Book Editing” at Ryerson University
