I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader with more than two decades of experience working with lawyers, primarily in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, personal planning, and family law. Until recently my editing work for these clients has been performed as part of my duties as an administrative assistant. I am now turning my attention away from legal administration and towards editing full time.

While I continue editing in the legal field, I welcome projects in a diverse range of subject areas including, but not limited to, memoirs, cookbooks, the cultural and legal aspects of cannabis cultivation and use, and North American Indigenous history and mythology. I am a book dragon with a slightly out-of-control book-collecting habit (some would call it hoarding; I prefer to call it tsundoku), and passionate about contributing to the creation and publication of clear, concise, and polished communications.

I continually focus on increasing my skill set by studying for my Publishing Certificate with Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, and taking advantage of Editors Canada’s excellent professional development opportunities.
