Profile

A clean manuscript, proposal or paper sells itself. Poorly constructed sentences, wordiness, and redundancy make writing vague, undecipherable, and boring. Do you want your voice heard? Clear, concise, and error-free writing makes all the difference.

I have worked as an aquisitions editor for both a literary magazine and a small independent press, so I know what publishers are looking for. As an instructor in the Bachelor of Communications Studies Program at MacEwan University, I have experience teaching both editing and grammar for many years. As an instructor of sustainability communications, rhetoric, and creative non-fiction, I've evaluated thousands of essays, research papers, and stories. I know effective writing when I see it. At the same time as a freelance writer, I understand the challenges and frustations that writers face. I've had both short and long pieces published, so I've had my own work evaluated and edited by many editors and publishers.

My Editing and Manuscript Reading Service provides you with the opportunity to have your manuscript read by a professional. If you’re interested in creative feedback, I can do that. Or working with you, I'll edit your manuscript from beginning to end, making it professional, readable, and sellable.
