Sylvia Pollard
Profile
I am a career editor-writer and music composer, with more than 25 years' experience. As a freelance book editor, I am particularly fond of evaluating and editing fiction, creative non-fiction, memoirs, and poetry. From 2007 to 2015, I was the full-time Senior Copy Editor of The Canadian Journal of Psychiatry. As well as editing the journal and various position papers, I wrote monthly media advisories. Before that, I owned and operated my own editing and writing business, Pollard Editing, specializing in literary fiction, and providing editing and writing services to federal government departments, academics, non-profit associations, and private-sector businesses. And before that, I was a Manager, Policy, within the federal government. I have a degree in English and Geography.
