I'm a stylistic and copy editor working primarily with self-published fiction authors. My mission is to help storytellers improve their work and enter the arena of self-publishing with confidence.

I have a sharp eye; solid knowledge of Canadian English, US English, and UK English; and a working understanding of story concepts such as character development, themes, and effective scene writing. From the outlining phase to final draft or proof, I'll help your story work and make sure it's enjoyable to read.

My experience includes novel manuscripts for adults and children in horror, fantasy, and contemporary fiction genres. I've also guided authors through the process of publishing their print books on Amazon's Createspace and their eBooks on Kindle and Kobo.

I'm fascinated with board game rules, so I'd also love to edit board game rulebooks and components. You can't undervalue the importance of clear instruction to ensure your players are playing your game as you've designed it!

Here's what some of my clients have to say about my work:

Will’s editing has been stress-relieving and enjoyable to review. His quick responses and detailed notes make each revision very effective. I first worked with Will when I was under a tight deadline and he was quick to respond to my inquiry with costs and timelines. His editing was thorough and his keen eye for catching minor inconsistencies makes him ideal for any literary work.

—Konn Lavery, Dark Fantasy and Horror Author

Will is a fantastic editor. He brought my novel to the next level, and with a very quick turnaround. Will holds a particularly strong editing discipline, over and above many others I have worked with. I have and will continue to recommend him to fellow authors.

—Lex J Grootelaar, Novelist

As a first-time author I was very concerned about the editing process and how it would change my novel. Having Will edit my manuscript was far easier and more enjoyable than I thought it would be. He communicated with me every step of the way to make sure the editing process was going in a direction I was pleased with. I would recommend him to any author looking to improve their literary works. I am thankful to him for making my first editorial experience a good one!

—Lindy Dougherty, Novelist
