Editing and Writing in the Financial Industry
Join Editors Toronto on Tuesday, January 24, at 7:00 pm EST via Zoom for “Editing and Writing in the Financial Industry.”
You do not need a degree in business, math, economics, or finance to write and edit these subjects. In this talk, Renée Sylvestre-Williams will cover how she pivoted from lifestyle journalism to financial journalism and strategy. How this all started is when she was laid off and a good friend reached out to her offering freelance work. Renée will discuss how to write about complicated financial subjects in plain language, how to understand the target audiences, the research and knowledge needed to cover the industry, and how to avoid traps when writing and editing financial subjects.
