Workshop leader: Georges Bastin
The workshop presents the obstacles to self-revision and editing parameters according to Horguelin and Pharand, and Mossop. Several self-editing methods and principles will be subsequently explained. Individual and group exercises, unilingual and bilingual, structure the presentation.
Georges L. Bastin is professor at Université de Montréal, president of the Canadian Association of Schools of Translation, and certified translator of OTTIAQ. He directs the Latin American History and Translation Research Group (histal.net) and is interested in the pedagogy of writing, editing, and translation, and the history of translation.
