How to Find Work?
5 Ways Editors Canada Can Help You Find Work
Whether you’re looking for freelance, contract, or permanent work, Editors Canada can help you with your search.
1. Advertise your services in the Online Directory of Editors (ODE). As a qualifying, voting, or honorary member, you can create a profile in the ODE at any time by completing an online form and paying the required fee. You can personalize your profile to highlight your skills and experience. Learn more.
2. Check out the national job board. Employers pay to list postings for any paid editing jobs—in-house, freelance, short- and long-term contracts, and full-time. You need to log into Interactive Voice to access the job postings.
3. Check out the branch’s members-only jobs page. Sometimes employers want to let Editors Canada members know about opportunities, such as internships or jobs that pay on deferral, that aren’t suitable for the national job board.
4. Come out to a branch meeting to socialize and network with other editors. Sometimes a talk over refreshments can result in a great job lead!
