May 2017 Program
On Wednesday, May 24, Michael Bedford will lead an informal panel session on the nature of the editorial industry. With a panel of four, composed of two experienced editors and two editors new to the workforce, we will discuss how editorial work has changed and continues to change, where the industry may be going, and how editors cope with the ever-changing landscape of the publishing industry.
We look forward to a rousing discussion replete with the sharing of anecdotes, frustrations, successes, and fond (and not so fond) memories.
Michael, who serves as secretary on the 2016–17 Editors Toronto executive committee, is a new editor himself and looks forward to hearing about the varied professional experiences of the membership.
Immediately preceding the program, we will hold the AGM. Elections for the 2017–18 Editors Toronto executive will take place at the AGM, and the executive will be tabling a motion to change the executive structure for the upcoming year.
