Editors Canada announces the new réviseurs agréés from its French editing proficiency testing program


Toronto, March 13, 2018—The Editors' Association of Canada (Editors Canada) is proud to announce the new réviseurs agréés! This year, 41 people passed the general editing test and will receive the title of réviseur agréé or réviseure agréée du Programme d'agrément en révision linguistique — Réviseurs Canada.

Editors Canada member Michael Redhill wins the 2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize


Toronto, November 21, 2017—The Editors' Association of Canada (Editors Canada) congratulates member Michael Redhill, winner of the 2017 Scotiabank Giller Prize for Bellevue Square.

Bellevue Square is a darkly comic literary thriller about a woman who fears for her sanity and eventually her life when she learns that her doppelganger has appeared in a local park.

Editors Canada phasing out online edition of Editing Canadian English

We launched the online edition of Editing Canadian English, 3rd edition, in February 2015. This subscription service provides instant, on-the-go access to the latest guidance on Canadian English usage, from Canadianization to spelling, abbreviations, punctuation, measurements, bilingual text and more. Subscription sales were lower than we had hoped for and there have been unsustainable IT costs required to support the online version.

Train online with Editors Canada: 2017–18 webinar schedule announced

Since 1979, the Editors' Association of Canada (Editors Canada) has been delivering high-quality, local training for editors at every stage of their careers. Last year we introduced webinars as a way to get your training online. We're happy to announce that our 2017-18 season is now available!
